Kids Continue to Say the Darnedest Things About Their Mistakes
During a quartet rehearsal, one of the players hit a glaringly wrong note in an area that had been problem-free up to that point...
ME: Why did you hit a B instead of a D?
KID: My eyes were fluctuating.
I'm a jazz musician, music educator and college professor who plays the saxophone. I also teach a ton of private students, play in a cool jazz combo, and write and arrange a little bit.
