Weekend Roundup

A little bit o' this, a little bit o' that:

• The rugby team at the University of Florida played a game in their prom dresses. It sounded like it went over better than the prom-dress bowlers I encountered a while back.


• Did you hear the story about the Arkansas mom who just delivered her sixteenth child, and she and her husband still want more? Also note that there are two sets of twins among the brood, and that everyone's name begins with J, which required more than a little creative license ("Jessa"?). (Hat tip to--appropriately enough--J-Guar.)


• The pastor of a Florida church had 16 church members ejected from a service after they allegedly refused to stop singing and let the clergyman preach.


• One of those huge Chick-Fil-A cows was stolen from a billboard in Eastern Virginia. The thing weighs 500 pounds; how did the thieves get it down, how did they transport it somewhere, and where in the world are they hiding it?

My next post will likely be Tuesday, as I'm going to that Randy Brecker concert in Denton tomorrow night after I get done teaching. I'll have a report on that, no doubt, along with other stuff.
